Here they come! Pumpkins galore! October is full of pumpkins, craft fairs, fall festivals, costumes, and of course stewardship. We have an abundance of fantastic stewards! All around me in this church are people giving their time without reward. Linda Hudson donates her time to provide support and prayer for people who suffer chronic illnesses. Diana Sprague and a team of others donate their time to cook meals and visit shut-ins and the sick. A group of ladies dedicate time to sew clothes for the children in the third world countries. Erin Key delivers backpacks full of food for children who would go without food over the weekends. A man comes every week to play his guitar for our preschool children. Carolyn Haug and others give of their time to nurture children in their faith. Then there’s VBS, special events, and the Pumpkin Patch where people donate something more valuable than money. And of course the Elders give up their precious time to make some very difficult decisions. This church runs on volunteers. I thank God for you! But more than any one person, we can testify that God provides. When we mailed the stewardship letters that you will get the first week in October, I noticed that 66% of our congregation gives regularly which is well above the national statistics. God is AWESOME and so are YOU! Be intentional in serving in the Patch this month so that Christ can be received through your words and actions as hundreds of people visit us. Invite, invite, invite!
In September, our Elders approved:
A repurchase of a better projector
