October is full of pumpkins, craft fairs, fall festivals, costumes, and of course stewardship. We have an abundance of fantastic stewards! All around me in this church are people giving their time without reward. Linda Hudson and Patty donate their time to provide support and prayer for people who suffer chronic illnesses. Diana Sprague and a team of others donate their time to cook soup and meals to give them to shut-ins and the sick. A group of ladies dedicate time to sew clothes for the children in the third world countries. Tina Mosley and Amber Coker and others stuff backpacks or bags full of food for children who would go without food over the weekends.A man comes every week to play his guitar for our preschool children. Mary Vaughn and Tina Mosley give up their time in the office to help with clerical duties. Jeff Sprague, Norm Strand, Steve Miller, Mary Vaughn, Carole Schroth study the bible on their own time and teach it to others. Carolyn Haug, Abby Amash, Jacob Morrow, Gabby Charboneau, and many others give of their time to nurture children in their faith. Mark Laursen, Scott Erickson, Mike Trice, Eric Chartier, Tom Lindeman all give 4 hours of their weekend to mow our grass without any compensation. Then there’s VBS, special events, Irma cleanup, and the Pumpkin Patch where people donate something more valuable than money. And of course the Elders give up their precious time to make some very difficult decisions. This church runs on volunteers. I thank God for you!
